You could cry. Look at where Lexit has stoked up for the working class? The fundamental question of any socialist (worthy of the name) is that does a policy elevate, enhance or improve the conditions of working class people? The results sadly are in. The longest cost of living crisis, a period of wage stagnation not seen since 1815, a productivity crisis that has seen the UK economy fall further and further behind our European counterparts. Is this what so-called socialists want? Of course not. Brexit has been an utter failure and disaster for UK workers and it is this type of position from Lexiters that damages the cause of working class politics and interests.

And so how did this 'Lexit' turn out. Thats right an annual loss of £100bn to the UK economy, cemented the largest fall of living standards on working people, has decimated the savings and investments of pensions and savings. You know, the money that workers rely on to avoid pensioner poverty. We have so-called socialists urging other socialists to stand shoulder to shoulder with racists in the ballot box, joining with the most reactionary groups that exist within the Country and of course, socialists - so called, forgetting that the point of socialism is the elevation, enhancement and improvement of the working class. Brexit & Lexit was a disaster fir the UK working class and many in the Labour movement who propogated this policy have done a huge disservice to the left in this Country. Breaks the heart to be honest....as we now have shit and sewerage in our rivers and waterways, poverty and destitution at its peak, we live in an economy that is now an ocean of debt and we have endured the longest fall in living standards since the battle of Waterloo. This was never thought through and the left was given an opportunity of displaying its 'internationalism' and totally fluffed it.

Often the reason why it is rejected is due to lack of evidence of a prosecutable "event." Committing illegal acts on the down low in a risky country doesn't count, an act has to be committed, e.g. sodomy, a relationship, etc. following an event, an authority that peruses you for prosecution and this person flees to an embassy. There needs to be active prosecution where you are personally named and you have provided evidence of this. Living in a country that lacks human rights isn't grounds for asylum. SWP has a very poor record of understanding these issues and should refrain from commenting on them. Britain has no obligation to provide asylum to anyone for any reason and all cases are approved under discretion of the British government at this point in time, due to unsustainable numbers. What the British government could do, is bring awareness campaigns to certain countries in Africa where western missionaries brought about the idea of homosexuality being a sin, thus affecting social policy in that country years ago.

I work rewilding and restoring woodland habitat from former farmland. But have no idea why anything will change by a change in political agenda. If this was so Russia would be restoring the Environment so would China, because they're not capitalists. The reality is each and every one of us is personally responsible. Layng in front of cars just creates congestion, but if every country turned their biowaste into biochar, it could be used to aid food production reduce the need for so much fertilizers, improve soil health and take CO2 out of the atmosphere. The Aztecs were doing this thousands of years ago, and their ammended soil called Terra Petra is still absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere to this day!
